The most famous historical landmark of the city Hyderabad.Charminar was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1951. It is said that this historical monument with intricate carvings was built in honour of his wife, Bhagmati. However, the actual reason behind building Charminar is still not clear.It is also said that the four pillars around Charminar represent the four caliphs.
It is said that Charminar was the first building of Hyderabad which had more than one floor. It is considered as the very first multi storied building of this city. it is also known for its popular and busy local market surrounding the structure, and has become one of the most frequented tourist attractions .
2.Qutub minar
The Qutb minar , also spelled as Qutub minar and Qutab minar. This is the tallest minar of the world which is made with bricks . Built as a symbol of victory for Muslim invaders over the Hindu land, Qutub Minar served as a victory tower when Muhammad Ghori took over the Rajput king, Prithviraj Chauhan, in 1192 .
Qutub-ud-din-ebak started construction of the Qutb Minar's first storey in 1199.Minar is surrounded by several historically significant monuments of the Qutb complex.The whole tower contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps
It was added to the list of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. It is one of most visited tourist spots in Delhi.
3.Gateway of India
The Gateway of india is an arch-monument built in the early twentieth century in the city of Mumbai .The gateway was built to commemorate the arrival of George V, Emperor of India and Mary of Teck, Empress consort, in India. Gateway was used as a symbolic ceremonial entrance to British India for important colonial personnel. It has been called a symbol of "conquest and colonisation" commemorating British colonial legacy.
The gateway's arch has a height of 26 metres (85 feet) with its central dome being 15 metres (49 feet) in diameter. The monument is built of yellow basalt and reinforced concrete.The monument faces towards the Mumbai Harbour.their is also the iconic Taj palace hotel near this monument.
The gateway is amongst the prime tourist attractions in Mumbai.
4.Konark temple
Konark temple of odisha was a 13th-century CE(year 1250) sun temple. It is one of the most ancient structure of indian history .It located at the puri city of coastal odisha.The temple is attributed to king Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty.
Dedicated to the Hindu Sun God surya, what remains of the temple complex has the appearance of a 100-foot (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. The structures and elements that have survived are famed for their intricate artwork, iconography, and themes.is a classic illustration of the Odisha style of Architecture or Kalinga Architecture.

5.Ajanta caves
The Ajanta Caves constitute ancient monasteries and worship-halls of different Buddhist traditions carved into a 75-metre (246 ft) wall of rock.The Ajanta Caves are mentioned in the memoirs of several medieval-era Chinese Buddhist travellers to India and by a Mughal-era official of Akbar era.
The Ajanta Caves are generally agreed to have been made in two distinct phases, the first during the 2nd century BCE to 1st century CE, and a second several centuries late.
Since 1983, Ajanta caves have been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India. The Ajanta Caves, along with the Ellora Caves, have become the most popular tourist destination in Maharashtra, and are often crowded at holiday times.
